Hello loves!
I don’t know about you, but quarantine has me going mask crazy. No, I don’t mean the covid masks… I mean self-pampering, at-home spa day, skincare kinda masks.
I’ve recently received the Sorbet Charcoal Peel-off Mask and have been using it for a couple weeks. I have to admit, I used it the day it arrived on my doorstep. I just couldn’t wait.
Before I get into the results and my thoughts on the mask, let me give you a little background on my skin. I have combination type skin; oily t-zone & dry everywhere else. I don’t have an acne problem per se as I usually break out due to hormone imbalance caused by contraception. I get the occasional uninvited guest now and then and mainly on my cheeks and between my brows.
Let’s get into the benefits of charcoal on the skin and what this mask claims to deliver.
Benefits:
· Rids skin of toxins
· Removes dirt, oil and impurities
· Brightens
· Decongests
· Anti-bacterial
· Exfoliates
· Anti-inflammatory
About the Mask:
It comes in a squeeze tube and it is re-sealable. It claims to only be for 3 uses. However, I manage to get way more uses out of it because I only targeted my t-zone area. The scent is very fresh, it is not a strongly scented product. It is a gooey consistency, as it is a peel-off mask. It promises to purify the skin, cleanse pores, remove blackheads, impurities and excess oil. It contains tea tree oil, which is another fave of mine, it works great as an anti-bacterial spot treatment. It also claims to unclog pores and leaving the skin feeling radiant.
My Experience:
The mask left my skin feeling cleansed of any extra oils and dirt. After using it twice a week I noticed less bumps around my cheek area which usually forms overnight due to excess oils. My nose, which tends to get very clogged and bumpy started feeling smoother, I had less visible blackheads.
Application is mess-free, and the peel-off process is hassle AND pain free. So my sensitive skin peeps will love this.
I'll definitely add this to my skin routine and continue using it every week as a skin detox.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this mask and how your experience was. If not, would you consider trying it?
I’d love to know!
